Chinmaya Mission Metrowest celebrates Diwali with Legacy Farms

The Legacy Farms neighborhood of Hopkinton celebrated the Indian Festival of Diwali in 2 grand celebrations. Chinmaya Mission had a table to support the Diwali celebration to share the value of spiritual knowledge with the residents of Legacy Farms.

Chinmaya Mission is a spiritual organization that aims for inner growth at individual and collective levels, the mission offers a wide array of Vedanta study forums for all ages, promotes Indian classical art forms and operates numerous social service projects.

The Chinmaya Mission Bal Vihar is a weekly gathering of children between Pre-K and 12th grade that takes place at Westboro under the supervision of trained teachers. The aim of Bal Vihar is to help children bloom, grow, and inculcate values through fun-filled activities.

Every Sunday at 2:15 about 150 children gather at 117 E Main St, Westborough, MA 01581 to learn their mother tongue and learn shlokas, stories and the Bhagavad Gita. Adults have a study group – where a learned person teaches a spiritual text. Now we are learning the meaning of the Hanuman Chalisa.
