About Chinmaya MetroWest

Chinmaya MetroWest is a Spiritual Vedanta Center with about 110 families from over 10 neighboring towns. Coming from diverse backgrounds, we meet together weekly in imparting value based education for children in their molding years (4-18 years) and for spiritual rejuvenation for adults, to create a vibrant community.

While these programs are conducted worldwide, MetroWest is the satellite center in New England.

The programs we offer:

  • Bala Vihar
  • Youth Program
  • Adult Satsang
  • Language Classes
  • Lectures and Discourses
  • Fairs and Festivals
  • Community Service Programs
  • Spiritual Guidance

The Bala Vihar classes are for children from Pre-K to 12th grade. The 90-minute classes are based on specially designed syllabi, with the aim of accomplishing the BV rationale set by Swami Chinmayananda that include stories of devotion and morals, interactive discussions, and creative games.

At MetroWest, we conduct assembly before the classes start each Sunday @3:30 pm. This is the time for all Bala Vihar children, teachers, parents and other volunteers to assemble together in the social hall for a prayerful 20 mins where we chant our Sanskrit prayers, Bhagavat Geeta Chanting and sing small bhajans, perform Aarti to Pujya Gurudev. Further we sing the Chinmaya birthday song in Sanskrit for anyone who celebrated their birthday the previous week and proclaim the Chinmaya Pledge.

This is also the time where we make important announcements about upcoming events, holiday schedules, and other activities. Parents are encouraged to attend this assembly for these announcements.

Come and visit us and our volunteers will be happy to discuss the programs with you.
